While waiting for the ferry, these two German girls came up to Elyse and I and wanted to meet us since they looove Americans. (Story continues in a few pictures...) From the ferry leaving Livorno, Italia to Corsica! Love that green colored water.
First sight of Corsica. I think this is Calvi, to the North. Correction! This is Cap Corse! Military citadels I think. Napoleon was born and set up shop on this island.
So we met the German girls, and they invited us to meet their family outside their RV. The mother greeted us in tears, she was so happy to hear our accents. She was a huuuge bluegrass fan and told us all of the country music stars she had met including Johnny Cash. They invited us to ride in their RV while we boarded the ferry. (continues...) More Corsica from the ferry. Approaching the dock in Bastia.
Handsome guy. This amazing German family ended up inviting us to spend the night in their RV. Our campsite was about 2 minutes walk from this beautiful sight. That night we watched Munich in the fussball championships (soccer) and drank wine on the beach. And then the sun rose.
The Mediterranean. Aaaand more beach. This place has the best beach to person ratio I've ever seen. A swingset on the beach.
