Moved on to Cochabamba, which feels like a really hazy version of Florida Really nice market in Cochabamba... I will gladly visit a food market over a church or museum in South America.
Bolivian English breakfast in Sucre Oh hostels... The poverty was most obvious in Bolivia... hungry street kids everywhere. Not sure where their family is, but these girls work at the plaza selling seeds and asking for food. Together their meals cost about $2.50 but they smiled like they were going to Disney World.
It's gonna be tough going back to Stop & Shop produce. Views from the hostel roof terrace... Roof terraces are something we don't have nearly enough of here. The sky could look like this right now but I haven't noticed, because I don't have a roof terrace in my house. To be fair, many of the roof terraces are just unfinished floors with rebar sticking out of the walls, future goals. From what I understand, they can pay less taxes by calling the house incomplete.
More festivals, this time in Sucre, Bolivia... Couldn't tell if I was lucky, or if they just celebrate everything. Ate some street food here, it turned out to be heart fried up like a steak-um. Bolivian bus excitement... I got assigned the back middle in the aisle without a seat, and witnessed a bathroom break where the entire bus pees on the side of the road. I got delayed by road blocks, a trailer flipped over in the road, and pictured here stuck in a landslide.
Trying to free two buses. Fat old women yelling "empuje joven!" Hoping it doesn't rain more since I had just put my poncho under the bus before the ride. Backing into a drainage ditch and almost flipping... Thinking if this bus flips, my backpack is stuck under there...
