More San Marco. I had to pass on the 9 Euro beer at this cafe. Since there really weren't any entry fees to pay in Venice, the budget was used for pizza, panini, gelato, wine, and repeat. From the backside of Piazza San Marco.
Wave action shot! Gondolas on the Grand Canal. Got ripped off big time at one of those currency exchange booths here. Got 45 Euros for 80 bucks. Turns out the 0% commission sign meant 19% commission in Italian. The lady said that since I touched the new currency (to count it) the transaction had been completed.
Really, just can't narrow these canal pics down. Another super senior portrait. The plaque said something about Mozart playing here for Carnival in 17something. Every gondolier riding by would point it out and say Mozart, but that was all I could make out.
Venice at night. Waiting on the steps outside the train station for a night train to Munich. Met the two sweetest girls from Chicago. That's the unfortunate thing about travel, you meet incredible people and then have to catch a train. Can't complain though!
