They don't mark the trail at all until you get to the road. The directions from a forum went something like... take the bus to the end of the route, walk 200m along a dike until you get to a restaurant. Take a right and walk north for awhile...
The most epic bus ride, crossing the Andes (just typed Alps) from Mendoza to Santiago. Includes views of Aconcagua, the highest on the continent. Here the cameraman uses an advanced technique of taking the picture from a moving vehicle with a window in front of him. The most towering mountain I've seen, plus 29ish switchbacks Chilean vineyards on the go
Despite being a "developed" country for South America, Chile has awesomely sloppy, colorful, fresh markets Get out of the avocados kitty! Cats in the produce and dogs poking their head in the restaurant are a sure sign of an authentic experience.
